i couldn't disagree more... unless you're talking dylan circa 1978-1996, because, yeah, he sucked pretty bad for a couple decades. of course pink floyd has experienced a couple of shitty decades, too... particularly when dave gilmour took over... altho i'll give them props for sampling stephen hawking on division bell.

i'll take 'bike' over any dylan any day.
really a pretty apples to oranges comparison though. mostly put up the picture to angry up some blood.

i'm a bit ashamed to say i feel coldly indifferent to both. i have definitely had my phases with each of them, but on whole, i would say their craft relies too much on one really sharp strength.

dylan's words, obviously, are some of the most powerful ever, where floyd's nothing without intense studio production.

I don't mean to diminish those particularly great elements, but i've not been able to dive into either catalog and soak it all up open-mindedly - the way one's expected to with an icon.
