oh, chimpanzee that; MONKEY NEWS!

Karl Pilkington's got a head like a fucking orange!

music is good-at times mystical, but i can't get out of bed these days without my dose of the ricky gervais show - 5 series of podcasts and a bucket of recordings of the XFM radio show broadcast in the UK. anyone else hooked on stories about Ricky's early days in a glam band, The Office and Extras co-creator Stephen Merchant's nerdy romantic enterprises, or bald Manc twat Karl Pilkington's philosophies about ridding the world of "useless" animals?

Exhibit A)
Karl on jellyfish:
"they're 97% water. just give em another 3% and make em water."

knob at night, indeed!

karl on eating kangaroo penises on reality game shows...

"what they don't mention that i think takes it to the next level is they're eatin' that at like half past seven in th mornin' - let me get some rice and that on me belly... i'll come round. 'ave it ready."

I 'aven't seen Ghost Town, but it looks like rubbish. i talked with a buddy at AES and he was extremely disappointed by Gervais' recent stand-up show. he paid over a hundred dollars a ticket, and judging from the clips I've seen, its more and more just him talking about his life and over-playing the pudgy arrogant bloke card.

...that's not to slag off ricky, he's a genius. i just prefer his quick conversational wit and the meticulously crafted shows he and merchant have had creative control over.

katie, the extras christmas special was beatiful, no? i remember weeping like a baby last xmas when he walked out on the reality show. and i'm no softy for shallow tv friendships or holiday specials. right...

'twas a right good episode. there was definitely some tear factor in there....not to be confused with fear factor in which they eat kangaroo penis.
